The Carolina Opry – Christmas Show of the South

Held throughout November and December at The Carolina Opry Theater in Myrtle Beach, this festive tradition showcases a talented ensemble of singers, dancers, musicians, comedians, and more, delighting packed audiences with the joy of Christmas. The performances feature an array of classic holiday songs, dance routines, a brass section, comedy sketches, and occasional special guests, including a visit from Santa Claus and a real one-horse open sleigh.

Transforming for the holiday season, The Carolina Opry undergoes a spectacular holiday makeover, adorned with over 5 miles of stringed lights, 75 wreaths, and 35 Christmas trees, including a magnificent 30-foot centerpiece in the main lobby. The venue becomes a winter wonderland, inviting families to capture festive moments with picturesque backgrounds. The lobby not only offers traditional holiday treats but also features a gift shop filled with souvenirs to commemorate your visit.

Year-round, The Carolina Opry provides entertainment in its 2,200-seat venue, equipped with top-notch lighting, sound, and comfortable seating. The flagship show, titled “The Carolina Opry,” runs for the remaining 10 months of the year, showcasing outstanding vocalists, musicians, dancers, and entertainers who present constantly refreshed versions of the show.
