You can't visit the east coast without trying some fresh seafood and these restaurants in North Myrtle Beach offer unique dishes and specials year round. Whether you like it blackened or fried, steamed or raw you'll find endless possibilities along the Grand Strand.

We've listed five of our favorite seafood spots on the north end that serve everything from fried seafood platters to mouth watering specialties.

Duffy Street Seafood Shack

Duffy Seafood Shack is a favorite among locals and visitors of North Myrtle Beach. They have two great locations on the north end – one on Main Street and the other in Cherry Grove. Seafood selections dominate the expansive menu which includes platters, raw bar specialties, Po Boys and Sea Buckets. Save your appetite for a combo platter with your choice of stuffed crabs, clam strips, calamari, shrimp, fantail shrimp, fried oysters, fresh fish and sea scallops served with hush puppies, old bay fries and coleslaw.

Flying Fish Market

Flying Fish Public Market & Grill

4474 Hwy 17 S., North Myrtle Beach, SC - Directions

Flying Fish Public Market & Grill serves seafood as fresh as you can catch (literally). You can see the chefs in the open concept kitchen throwing huge fish around and if you’re lucky, they might offer you a toss. Start off with their complimentary seafood dip then take your pick from the fresh catches of the day served Cajun style, cornmeal coated, fire-grilled or topped with Cajun popcorn shrimp and topped with fresh herb cream sauce, honey lime butter, mango salad, Asian sesame glaze or Habanera-Orange chutney.

Hoskins Restaurant

Nearly every time you wander down Main Street you’re sure to see a line waiting to get in to Hoskins Restaurant. We can’t help but think the seafood menu might have something to do with it. They offer small and large seafood platters with fried or broiled shrimp, flounder, scallops, oysters and crab cakes as well as grilled Atlantic Salmon, filet of flounder, blackened Mahi Mahi tacos and sautéed shrimp.

Joe's Bar and Grill

Joe’s Bar and Grill

810 Conway St., North Myrtle Beach, SC - Directions

Joe’s Bar and Grill is a great spot for a romantic date night or just a fun evening out with friends. Favorite seafood menu selections include a crab cake with spicy black bean salsa; shrimp and grits; and a whole Southern Tradition Trout coated in corn meal stuffed with crabmeat sautéed and served with Southern Comfort mushroom cream sauce. The Triple Play comes with char-grilled ribeye plus a Low Country crab cake and blackened shrimp.

Midtown Bistro

Owner Jeff Martini prides himself on making “simple food and simple prices” at Midtown Bistro. Fresh seafood entrees featured on the menu include blackened scallops over creamy risotto topped with a skewer of grilled shrimp; house made red or white clam sauce over angel hair pasta; yellow fin tuna served with sautéed vegetables and sides of soy sauce and wasabi. The Seafood Newburg is a special dish made with shrimp and scallops in a puff pastry with a brandy, sherry, butter and cream sauce.
