7 awesome outdoor adventures in North Myrtle Beach

The biggest and best outdoor attraction in North Myrtle Beach is absolutely the beach! The sun, sand and fun never stop there, and most visitors will spend the majority of their time soaking it all in. It’s what you came for! But there are plenty of other ways to enjoy our beautiful weather if you’re ready to step out of the sand and hit the town.

Here are some of our favorite outdoor attractions in North Myrtle Beach.

Go Ape Zip Line & Treetop Adventure

If you’re looking for an outdoor adventure to get your blood pumping, Go Ape Zip Line & Treetop Adventure is an excellent choice. Visitors make their way through several high-rope obstacles and fly down ziplines in this fun attraction. This adventure is limited to visitors ages 10 and up.

Cold beer and live music make Ocean Annie’s a perfect outdoor attraction for dancing, swimming, relaxing or just great people watching! Deemed the biggest party on the Grand Strand, Ocean Annie’s has long been a summer hotspot in North Myrtle Beach. 

Shark Wake Park

Shark Wake Park is an awesome attraction for those who are expert cable wakeboarders as well as newbies to the sport. Located at the North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex, this attraction is perfect for those who enjoy an adrenaline rush. Shark Wake Park is also home to a Floating Aqua Park that is perfect for the whole family!

Ditch the boogie board and hop on a surf board with the help of surfing experts. Kokopelli Surf Camp in offers lessons, surf camps and paddle board tours taught by local North Myrtle Beach surfers. You’ll be riding the waves in no time! Open to all ages and skill levels. 

A New Life Ranch, LLC

Hop in the car and take a short drive over the SC/NC border to A New Life Ranch, LLC in Fair Bluff, NC! This family-friendly attraction allows guests to get up close and personal with adorable farm animals. Guests will meet animals like horses, cows, bunnies, pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, and much more. Fun activities here include horse back riding as well as bottle-feeding and petting certain animals.

Get up close and personal with nature at Alligator Adventure in North Myrtle Beach. Located at Barefoot Landing, Alligator Adventure is an interactive attraction full of wildlife, including alligators, lizards, gray wolves, snakes, lemurs and much more. 

Baby Bengal Tiger TIGERS Preservation Station

The T.I.G.E.R.S. Preservation Station at Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach is a living tiger exhibit that raises money for global preservation efforts. Participants can hold a baby tiger or ape for a once-in-a-lifetime photo op. Photo encounters start at $100, but visitors can see the animals for free. 

Miniature Golf
