There is nothing better than celebrating the holidays in North Myrtle Beach! Sure, many people may think that the summer is the best time to visit the North Myrtle Beach area, but the truth is, North Myrtle Beach is magical and thriving with holiday things to do during the month of December!

Holiday Shows

Get in the holiday spirit by attending a holiday show in and around North Myrtle Beach! You can catch The South’s Grandest Christmas Show at The Alabama Theatre, The Christmas Show of the South at The Carolina Opry, the Ultimate Christmas Spectacular at Legends in Concert, and Mowtown Christmas Tribue & Crazy Country Christmas at GTS Theatre! All of these shows feature singing, dancing, and tons of holiday cheer. 

Holiday Shopping

Tree Lightings

Head over to the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex on Friday, December 5 for the 2017 Christmas Tree Lighting! Guests will be able to meet Santa and his friends, see the beautiful tree light up, and participate in tons of fun holiday festivities.  The event is free and will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Sandhills Bank Amphitheatre at the NMB Park & Sports Complex. 

The Great Christmas Light Show

The Great Christmas Light Show is back for the 2nd year in a row! From November 24 until December 31 (excluding Christmas), those looking for a fun and festive time should head up to the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex to see some beautiful lights! Drive through a 1.5 mile light show, and after, park your car and visit Santa’s Village. Santa’s Village features tons of festive fun such as train rides, a lighted treetop adventure at Go Ape, a tube slide, and pictures with Santa

Nights of a Thousand Candles

One of the biggest holiday attractions along the Grand Strand is Nights of a Thousand Candles at Brookgreen Gardens. Though you’ll have to take a car ride to get to Brookgreen Gardens from North Myrtle Beach, it is totally worth it. Nights of a Thousand Candles is a beautifully magical event, with thousands of lights and candles illuminating the popular sculpture garden. The event also includes food and beverages for purchase, roving musicians, performances, and more.  Nights of a Thousand Candles will be held on the following evenings: November 30, December 1-2, December 7-9, and December 14-17. 

North Myrtle Beach Christmas Parade

North Myrtle Beach will be holding a Christmas Parade on December 2 and 5:30 p.m. on Main Street. There will be lighted floats, marching bands, and tons of holiday fun. This is a Christmas event that is great for the whole family!

Live Holiday Music

Hear your favorite Christmas songs in North Myrtle Beach with some great live holiday music.

On Friday, December 1 at 7:30 p.m., stop by the J. Bryan Floyd Community Center for the North Myrtle Beach Community Band's annual Christmas Concert! This is a free concert that features many favorite holiday songs. 

On Saturday & Sunday December 2 & 3, the Ocean Drive Presbyterian Church will be hosting the 2017 Christmas Cantata. This event will include church choirs from North Myrtle Beach singing your favorite holiday songs. Tickets are required for this event. 

MarshWalk Santa Crawl

Make your way down south to the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk for the 3rd annual MarshWalk Santa Crawl. This event is geared towards adults, as guests are invited to dress in their best Christmas-themed attire and make their way from bar to bar along the MarshWalk.  The first 25 guests to arrive at each restaurant will get a free beaded shot glass necklace. Also, the person wearing the best holiday outfit will win $1000! This is an event that adults won’t want to miss. 

Rivertown Christmas Celebration

Conway’s Rivertown Christmas Celebration will be held on Thursday nights, November 30, December 7, and December 14 in Downtown Conway from 6-8 p.m. The events will feature late-night shopping, carriage rides, live entertainment, visits with Santa, and more! This event is free for the whole family. 

New Year's Events

There will be tons of festivities going on for New Year’s Eve in North Myrtle Beach, including the House of Bles Dinner & Dance. This event includes a 4-course dinner, party favors, music by Corey Smith, and other goodies for $84.95 per person.
