Some may think that August is the end of summer in North Myrtle Beach, but that couldn’t be any further from the truth! August in North Myrtle Beach is still part of peak summer season, meaning that there are tons of fun things to do while you’re here on vacation.

See a Total Solar Eclipse

On August 21, 2017, those in North Myrtle Beach will have the chance to experience a total solar eclipse! That’s right; drive just about an hour south to Georgetown or even further to Charleston and you will be able to witness this rare phenomenon while you’re on vacation!

Go to the Beach

This one’s a no-brainer! While you’re in North Myrtle Beach, be sure to spend a lot of your time relaxing on the beach. During the month of August, the weather is perfect for setting up camp in the sand and basking in the sun. The water this time of year is great for swimming in the beautiful Atlantic Ocean, too.

Sure, you can always go for a swim in the ocean or in the pool at your resort, but have you every thought about trying a watersport while you’re in North Myrtle Beach? Cruise Along the Grand Strand

The Grand Strand ranges from North Myrtle Beach all the way down to Georgetown, and there are tons of things to do and see all along it.
